ROYAL HUISMAN TO BUILD NEW SLOOPHOME NEWSBOATBUILDINGBOATBUILDING ROYAL HUISMAN TO BUILD NEW SLOOP07 Jan 2019EmailShareFacebookLinkedInTwitterPrintRoyal Huisman is building a new sailing yacht, ‘Project 404’ Photo: Royal HuismanDutch shipyard Royal Huisman is to build what it plans will be the world’s ultimate performance sloop.The 196ft sailing yacht, Project 404, is designed by naval architect Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design with interior fitting by French deisign house, Liaigre.The yacht will be ‘an extraordinarily advanced sloop that will radically push the boundaries of operating systems and integrated rig technologies to set new benchmarks for performance and efficiency,” said a spokesman from Royal Huisman.Scheduled for delivery in 2022, Project 404 has an Alustar aluminium hull and a low profile composite superstructure and can accommodate up to 12 guests and ten crew.The yacht also has an Integrated Rig Package from Southern Spars complemented by Rondal captive winches with owner’s representation by Gregory Monks.
